As a long-standing technology leader at Ambrit, I have driven the school’s evolution in educational technology, systems management, and digital identity. My role grew from coordinating technology to leading the school’s overall digital strategy.

Key Achievements:

  • Strategic Technology Integration: Led the strategic integration of educational technology across all grade levels (EC-G8) to meet and exceed both IBO and ISTE standards.
  • Curriculum Development: Architected and developed the school’s first MYP Design program and curriculum from the ground up, integrating both practical skills like sewing and modern digital competencies like coding.
  • Systems Management & Transition: Directed multiple, large-scale migrations of the school’s Learning Management System (LMS) based on evolving pedagogical needs, while maintaining Google Workspace as a core productivity suite. I also headed the evaluation and selection process for the school’s new Student Information System (SIS), followed by training all staff in its implementation and use.
  • Brand & Identity Leadership: Authored the school’s first-ever Brand Guidelines and collaborated closely with the social media department to create a cohesive digital identity. I produce promotional media, including photography and videos of school events, and manage the school’s public-facing website.
  • Data Privacy & Compliance: Collaborated directly with the school’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) to evaluate and implement GDPR privacy policies, ensuring the security and compliance of all digital tools and platforms.
  • Operational Efficiency: Designed and deployed digital forms and automated approval processes for staff and parents, streamlining operations for everything from field trips to after-school activities.
  • Digital Citizenship Education: Developed and delivered workshops for students and parents on critical digital citizenship topics, including online safety, curating a positive digital footprint, and navigating the challenges of social media.

During a period of significant growth for the school, I was responsible for building a fully integrated and accredited ICT program.

Key Achievements:

  • IBO Programme Authorization: Led the technology component for the school’s successful IBO PYP renewal and contributed to the first authorization of its MYP program.
  • Innovative Partnerships: Collaborated with IBM to introduce the school’s first Lego Robotics experience, a “Mission to Mars” event that taught students teamwork, engineering, and programming skills. We were a pilot program for Promethean boards and our school was featured in their promotional videos.
  • Integrated Curriculum: Developed a comprehensive ICT curriculum for grades 1-8 that aligned with both IB standards and the Italian National Curriculum, shifting ICT from a standalone subject to an integrated classroom tool.
  • Staff Training & Development: Designed and delivered regular professional development courses for staff on Google Apps, iPad integration, digital portfolios, and internet safety.

In this multifaceted role at a new candidate school, I leveraged my diverse background to build foundational programs in technology, curriculum, and student life.

Key Achievements:

  • Pioneered the ICT Program: Established the school’s first-ever ICT program by personally designing, developing, and teaching a new curriculum that was implemented school-wide.
  • Foundational Technology: Led the school’s transition to Google Apps for Education (now Workspace), establishing a collaborative digital environment for the first time. I also designed and maintained the school’s first websites.
  • Differentiated Instruction: As a PYP Classroom Teacher for two consecutive years, I honed my skills in differentiated learning, first with a mixed-age Grade 1-2 class and then advancing with them to Grades 2-3.
  • School Culture & Athletics: Taught Physical Education to students from Prep to Grade 1 during my first year and co-organized the school’s annual Sports Day event.
